[갤워치] "삼성 앱 업데이트" 무한로딩 해결법

갤럭시 워치에는 스토어가 2개가 있습니다. 하나는 구글의 플레이 스토어이고, 다른 하나는 삼성의 갤럭시 스토어입니다. 갤럭시 스마트폰이나 타블렛처럼 말이죠. 

 

"저는 갤럭시 스토어를 본 적이 없는데요?"

 

네, 그냥은 못 보셨을 겁니다. 숨겨져 있으니까요 😅

 

기본 경로는 이렇습니다.

 

워치 자체에서 설정 → 애플리케이션 → 삼성 앱 업데이트 여기로 가면 갤럭시 스토어가 실행되면서 기본 내장 앱이 업데이트 되죠. 예를 들면 삼성 헬스 모니터라든가 각종 워치페이스 같은 것들이 여기에서 업데이트가 이루어집니다.

 

그런데 문제는, 이 경로로 갔을 때 업데이트를 눌러도 반응이 없거나, 혹은 접속 자체가 무한 로딩인 경우가 있다는 겁니다. 해결 방법은 의외로 간단합니다.

 

해결법

갤럭시 워치와 연동이 되어 있는 갤럭시 스마트폰에서 설정 → 애플리케이션 으로 가서 오른쪽 상단의 돋보기 아이콘을 누르고 Galaxy Store를 검색합니다.

 

그리고 '저장공간'으로 들어가서 하단의 '데이터 삭제'를 누릅니다. 이렇게 하면 갤럭시 스토어가 초기화 됩니다. 그 후 워치를 한번 껐다가 켠 다음 다시 워치에서 설정 → 애플리케이션 → 삼성 앱 업데이트 로 가서 내장 앱 업데이트를 시도해 보세요.

 

다시 예전처럼 정상적으로 진행이 될 겁니다.

There are two stores on your Galaxy Watch. One is Google's Play Store, and the other is Samsung's Galaxy Store. Just like your Galaxy smartphone or tablet. 

 

‘But I've never seen the Galaxy Store?’

 

Yes, you just haven't seen it, because it's hidden 😅.

The default path is this:

On the watch itself, you go to Settings → Applications → Update Samsung apps, which will launch the Galaxy Store and update the default built-in apps. For example, things like the Samsung Health Monitor and various watchfaces are updated from here.

 

The problem is, sometimes when you go this route, you'll find that the app doesn't respond when you hit update, or it just loads forever. The solution is surprisingly simple.

 

the Solution

On your Galaxy smartphone that is paired with your Galaxy Watch, go to Settings → Applications, tap the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner and search for Galaxy Store.

 

Then go into ‘Storage’ and tap ‘Erase data’ at the bottom. This will reset the Galaxy Store. 

After that, turn your watch off and on once, then on again and try to update the built-in apps by going to 

Settings → Applications → Samsung App Update on your watch. It should go through normally.
